Let’s cut the hyperbole. We aren’t promising “Netflix level quality at freelance videographer prices”. I hate that kind of promise because it just leads to unclear expectations and disappointment. High-quality video production costs money, let’s just get over that fact… but it doesn’t need to cost $10K per day of shooting.
Spending time on larger sets as various members of a production crew from directing, to DP, to gaffer to lighting and grip, the one thing that’s always ANNOYED me is the amount of inefficiency in traditional video production. (I’ll make a separate Youtube video on that)
At Cincinnati Social Media efficiency in production has become one of the big motivators for our work. How can we produce the most effective, efficient content with the minimum gear and crew? We don’t want to be the biggest baddest production company in Cincinnati with the Arri Alexa and a warehouse full of equipment. There’s already a ton of that in the city, and I question the ROI of such productions for all but the biggest brands in the nation.
